The Peoples Democratic  Party Bayelsa State chapter heartily felicitates with Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, GCFR , former President of Nigeria on the occasion marking his 63rd birthday.

The Party in a congratulatory message signed by Hon. Solomon Agwanana (JP) State Chairman of the Party lauded the exceptional leadership qualities of the former President which helped to stabilize democratic rule in the country particularly with the manner the 2015 general elections were conducted. "Not prepared to play into the hands of some national and international detractors you accepted the outcome of that elections with all the obvious flaws and congratulated your opponent. This was indeed the moment you rose taller than all the past heads of state and presidents Nigeria had ever produced".

"As a peace loving leader, your Excellency enunciated and carried out political reforms to improve the conduct of elections in Nigeria, particularly, the issue for one man one vote. This good policy for the country has today, been rolled back by the present government in the country".

As we celebrate your Excellency's great accomplishment,  it behoves young leaders to reflect and learn from the many personal leadership qualities of Dr. Jonathan with a firm hope and expectation that our country and indeed, Bayelsa state shall be ushered into a new season of growth and progress.

On this special anniversary,  it is our prayer that God Almighty would grant His Excellency fresh grace, sound health, renewed strength and vigor as you continue the service of helping Africa to rise to its full potential.
