The presidential amnesty Boss Dr. Dennis Otuaro, has some exciting news for Niger Delta stakeholders.
The PAP Boss appeared before the ex-agitators, his presence bringing a sense of promise and reassurance. With a determined gaze, he addressed the crowd, sharing the news that President Bola Tinubu had graciously approved an increase in the budgetary allocation for the PAP office in the upcoming year of 2025.

The agitators listened intently, their hearts uplifted by the commitment to support their cause and the progress that lay ahead. Otuaro's words resonated deeply, instilling a renewed sense of faith and dedication among the ex-agitators spread across the different phases of the Amnesty Program.

President Bola Tinubu has approved an increase in the PAP office's budget for 2025, which will accommodate more people, particularly women. This development is part of Tinubu's strong commitment to supporting the sustainable development, stability, and peace of the Niger Delta region.

Otuaro made this announcement during a meeting with ex-Niger Delta agitators in Warri, reassuring them of President Tinubu's interest in the region's progress. The increased budget will likely benefit various initiatives, including education and empowerment programs for women and youth.

The 2025 budget will see an upward review to accommodate more persons, especially women. Otuaro emphasized the importance of community people and stakeholders in ensuring the progress of the region.

The Presidential Amnesty Administrator Dr. Otuaro, stated that. Issues like the BVN problem that's been affecting some people's monthly stipends will be resolve and he's committed to tackle any other genuine challenges that fall under PAP's coverage area.

Dr. Otuaro also emphasize on the scholarships, that the registration portal was open from early this year and impressively, over 25,000 applications were received. This shows a high level of interest in the program and a desire for education among the beneficiaries.

The Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP) scholarship portal received an overwhelming 25,000 applications this year. To manage this large pool, the education desk will conduct a thorough selection process, including background checks on applicants' communities. This involves verifying claims with community chairmen, camp leaders, and other relevant individuals in the N'Delta region.

Who registered as undergraduate or master's programs, must meet specific requirements to qualify for the PAP scholarship, otuaro added.

Amidst this sea of possibility, Otuaro, the steadfast steward, emphasized that the education desk labored tirelessly in the arduous selection process. Every aspiring scholar would be subjected to a thorough background check, ensuring that only the most deserving souls would be graced with the opportunity to partake in this transformative journey.

The PAP Boss cited; that top scoring applicants who scored 350 in JAMB, may bypass some background checks. However, this doesn't guarantee automatic selection. The PAP aims to promote human capital development in the Niger Delta region, focusing on building capacity relevant to the region.

He assured the ex-agitators that the amnesty office will begin to review the  empowerment programme & vocational training process. We are going to review it properly. But we are not going to give anyone a starter-pack just like that. When we identify your area of interest, we attach you to an organisation doing what you are interested in doing, and after spending like one year, we can now empower you to start your own business.

The upcoming October 1st nationwide protest, Otuaro appeal with the ex-agitators to distance themselves from the protest, assuring that President Tinubu is doing his possible best to address challenges in the region.

The East west road project has been awarded to a Chinese company, and work is expected to commence soon, according to the presidential Amnesty Program (PAP) boss Dr. Otuaro. This development is part of the Federal Government's efforts to complete the long abandoned project, which has been plagued by controversies and delays since it's conception in 2006.
