Delta State Welcomes Africa 4 Peace Games Village in Ugolo, Osubi.

The Africa 4 Peace Games Village was officially launched on February 14, 2025, at Ugolo, near Osubi Airport, Okpe-Warri, Delta State. The event, organized by Comrade Mulade Sheriff, Convener/Host, drew dignitaries from across Delta State, including government officials, traditional leaders, sports enthusiasts, and members of the business community.

In his keynote speech, Comrade Sheriff Mulade emphasized the importance of sports and business in promoting peace, unity, and cultural diversity. He acknowledged the challenges of doing business in Nigeria's current economic climate, particularly with rising costs of essential items like diesel. Comrade Mulade urged the state government to create an enabling environment that fosters entrepreneurship and supports businesses like his to excel.


"The Africa 4 Peace Games Village is a dream come true," Comrade Mulade said. "Our goal is to provide a world-class facility that promotes sports, entertainment, and cultural activities. We believe that sports have the power to unite people and promote peace, and we are committed to making this vision a reality."

The event featured a lineup of talented Delta-based artists and comedians, showcasing the state's rich cultural heritage. The performers included musicians, dancers, and comedians who entertained the crowd with their skills and talents.


Comrade Mulade expressed gratitude to the people of Okpe Kingdom for their warm hospitality and consistent support. He also assured investors and entrepreneurs that Delta State is an ideal location for business.

"We are committed to making Delta State a hub for sports, entertainment, and cultural activities," Comrade Mulade said. "We believe that our state has the potential to become a major tourist destination, and we are working hard to make that vision a reality."

Notable keynote speakers, including the National President of Mini Football Nigeria, Hon. Alhaji,Hon. Rose Oborovworie, Victor Ekpeba, and Hon. Onoriodi, emphasized the importance of collaboration in promoting sports and unity.

Hon. Alhaji praised the game village's organization and standard, comparing it favorably to the Ilaji Sports Resort in Ibadan, where the Africa Mini Football Tournament was held in 2022.


"I am impressed by the facilities and the organization of the Africa 4 Peace Games Village," Hon. Alhaji said. "This is a world-class facility that has the potential to host international sports events. I commend Comrade Sheriff Mulade and his team for their hard work and dedication."

Victor Ekpeba commended Comrade Sheriff Mulade for his passion and dedication to promoting peace through sports. He noted that investing hard-earned money to bring people together is truly commendable and emphasized the value of such events in promoting unity and cultural diversity.



The event culminated in a thrilling football match, where Duado United triumphed over Minto Boys. The match added to the excitement and festive atmosphere of the launch, which was attended by a large and enthusiastic crowd.

The Africa 4 Peace Games Village is set to become a hub for sports, entertainment, and cultural activities in Delta State, promoting peace, unity, and cultural diversity throughout the region. The facility features state-of-the-art infrastructure, including a 5-aside football pitch, a basketball/volleyball court, a GYM Centre, and other recreational facilities.

With its rich cultural heritage and warm hospitality, Delta State is poised to become a major tourist destination in Nigeria. The Africa 4 Peace Games Village is a major step towards achieving that vision, and it is expected to attract visitors from across the country and beyond.
