Every day, Deltans die in silence.

In our towns, in our villages, on our roads, in our homes — we are losing mothers, fathers, children, and friends to the cold hands of insecurity.

My name is 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝗩𝗶𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗢𝗷𝗲𝗶, 𝗽𝗼𝗽𝘂𝗹𝗮𝗿𝗹𝘆 𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝗪𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗕𝗼𝘅, and I have lived at the Jesus Saves axis of Asaba since 1998. I am not a stranger to this land. I have walked its streets, cried with its people, and stood in the gap when no one else would. I own 𝐖𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐁𝐨𝐱 𝐓𝐕 𝐌𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐚, and I lead the 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐠 𝐍𝐢𝐠𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐚 𝐑𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬 𝐎𝐫𝐠𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐳𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 (𝐘𝐍𝐑𝐎) with one simple mission: to fight for the safety and rights of every Deltan, from the creeks to the capital.

𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐢𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝.

Just days ago, another traditional ruler shamelessly declared Delta "safe for investment." Yet in our villages, 𝐤𝐢𝐝𝐧𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬, 𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐚𝐛𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐬 𝐰𝐞𝐞𝐤𝐥𝐲. My people in 𝗨𝗯𝘂𝗹𝘂-𝘂𝗸𝘂 cry out in fear. Entire communities now live in dread, with no protection, no justice, no peace.

Some have begged me to stay silent.

But I will not betray my conscience.

I will not sell out my community for a seat at any table.

Because Delta State deserves better.

Our heroes today are not only in government — they are the likes of 𝐊𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧 𝐏𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐢 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐞𝐟 𝐓𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐥𝐨, whose selfless investments in security and community development have turned 𝐔𝐠𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐤𝐨𝐤𝐨 𝐩𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 into a national model. Just imagine if we had one Pondi or Tompolo in each of our 25 local government areas — how safe and hopeful Delta would be!

We must act now.

Artificial Intelligence, 𝐂𝐂𝐓𝐕, 𝐝𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐬 — these are not luxuries. They are life-saving tools we can acquire by working with our banks, our tech partners, and our communities. If there’s no money, let’s take a loan. Let us invest in our people’s lives, because no price is too high for safety.
